black fraternities and sororities

Fraternities & sororities = BIG SUCCESS???

One thing I find sickening about college social groups is the greek organizations. And as a Black student, the pressure to join a Black greek organization is even worse. Why does it run through their minds that your chances of becoming greatly successful or a great leader are slim if you don’t join a fraternity/sorority? There are too many successful people in this world who graduated from college without joining a greek organization.

I totally agree w/ you, there is tremendous pressure to join a BGLO/Divine 9 frat/sorority at my school & my friends who are apart of either sorority are always inviting me to their stuff.

You’re right about successful people who weren’t in greek organizations, people in sororities/fraternities in the Black community who are successful are few & far between thank God!

I am thinking about pledging, but I may just do a grad chapter.
