I read your link. While I agree that Cornell is very accomplished in his career in academia, he hardly considered among the best in the history of the blacks. There seems to be a lot of hatred against whites, and he's a socialist lawyer. Instead, take Charles Henry Turner. Born in 1867 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Attended the University of Cincinnati and in 1891, holds a BS and received his MS in 1892, and in 1907 received his Ph.D. University of Chicago. In both universities, was the first African American to receive their diplomas there. Mr. Turner published 49 papers on invertebrates. His articles include the habits of ANTS Butte construction experiments on color vision of the bee, Hunting behavior of a sand wasps and the American Psychological Notes on the spider gallery. Because it was much to learn about insects, he made some very surprising findings. Mr. Turner has been able to demonstrate real insects can hear and distinguish a field. Also has been able to demonstrate the cockroaches learn by trial and error and bees can see color. In my view, Turner was an African American who has earned a place in history.
