Prospective Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority…?

Ok so this is our Skee-Week at our school. I really want to be a part of this sisterhood and I would be pretty devastated if I don’t make a good impression. I’ve been to two of the three events so far but I don’t feel like I am standing out enough since I’m so shy. Since there are three more events left how can I stand out more? And how should I be dressing? If you have any more tips could you let me know? Thanks!

Dress professionally (unless a flyer says otherwise), and try to find connections with the members in the chapter. Are you in some of the same classes or organizations? What mutual community service interests do you have (i.e. Breast Cancer Awareness)? Are you from the same city/geographical area? Do you have the same major? Do you know any of the members on a personal level? Have you develop relationships with them based on common interest (not just because you want to be an AKA)? And the list goes on. Hope this helps.
